Devils
Horsemen – stunning equestrian stunts in this fast moving display of
horsemanship.

Following last year’s successful trip to the show,
97 pupils were given the opportunity this year to attend.
As the NSPCC had given us free tickets through sponsorship, we were able to
offer our top charity collectors in years 9 and 10 a place. Our school show
jumping team was also invited.

We left school at 11am and returned home at 5.45pm having been treated to
a full and exciting programme of horsemanship.

Among the highlights were two show jumping competitions
with thrills and spills.
A dressage display to music and a dog obedience performance enthralled us
all while the speed and accuracy of the Pony Club Mounted Games had us cheering
and jumping in our seats.

For many the Devil’s Horsemen with their fearless
display of stunt riding will be a lasting memory but all of us were captivated
when The Metropolitan Police horses and riders jumped through blazing hoops.

During the interval the pupils were able to walk around
the various trade stalls.
It
was a most enjoyable show and we would like to thank our local NSPCC for the
opportunity to experience skilled horses and riders working in partnership.
