Yarm Rugby Tour

On Saturday 14th October, Killicomaine Junior High School's Under Fourteen XV's had the pleasure of welcoming over Yarm
Grammar School from Middlesborough.

The English players faced strong support for the locals but fought hard throughout the first half to hold off Killicomaine. The second half saw a stronger Yarms side on the pitch but Killicomaine did well to stave off any scoring from this.

The game ended with a nil nil draw from the evenly matched sides at which point both pupils and teachers, alongside the mayor of Craigavon, Mr Kenneth Twyble, were provided with a lunch in the school's dining hall.

Killicomaine's Joel Hoey and Luke Magill were presented with man of the match honours with Joel taking home a rugby ball signed by all who participated.

Craigavon Mayor and ex Vice principal of Killicomaine, Mr Twyble, presented Mr Stuart Hardy (leader of the English team) with pens and plaques for all of the players.

The touring school went on to play Omagh Academy and to visit Ulster's Ravenhill Park.
