Ten schools competed in our year 8 hockey tournament. Teams were divided into two sections.

Royal School, Dungannon and Friends School, Lisburn met in the final with Friends narrowly beating Dungannon 1:0.

Again for our Killicomaine Team it was a case of almost but not quite. In our section we won three matches, only losing to Royal School, Dungannon by 1:0 - a team we had beaten only the previous Friday by five clear goals.

To complete the tournament the Trophy and medals were presented by Mrs Edna Gribben, the Ulster Womens' Hockey Union President and a former member of Killicomaine JHS's P.E. staff.
