Portadown FC Trophy

Killicomaine JHS recently had the pleasure of having the Co-operative Insurance League Cup trophy for a day.

Recently won by Portadown FC the trophy is one of the oldest in the country and is one of the three senior trophies available to the top teams in Northern Ireland.

Portadown FC, despite not being a senior team through default, beat some of the best teams in the land on their way to lifting the famous trophy including Linfield, Glentoran, Cliftonville and Newry Cit in the final.

The final itself was held at Mournview Park, Lurgan and the Portadown fans came out in force with plenty of colour and noise. Ronnie McFall and the players attention now turns completely to gaining promotion back to the top flight where they, and many, believe should rightfully be.

Killicomaine JHS would like to thank Portadown FC for giving the kids and bigger kids the opportunity for photos with the cup and to get their hands on the famous trophy, we would like to wish PFC the best of luck in their quest for success.
