It
is the policy of the Board of Governors that, as far as possible,
children should be taught in single year group classes. Where it is
necessary to establish composite classes (eg P4/P5) every effort will
be made to limit the size of these classes and to ensure that the
children are in a single year group class in the following year.
Primary school children succeed better with a class teacher who will
take the children for all central subjects of the curriculum.
The particular skills of teachers, however, may be utilised in late
afiernoon classes for P4 - 7 pupils. Each group will experience different
modules which may include Technology, Information Technology, French,
Music, Drama and Environmental Studies, amongst others. |
