Primary School sees a value in children engaging in homework as a
means of revising work done, in discovering information unavailable
in school, in involving parents in their children's studies and in
the development of good work habits. Against this must be balanced
each child's need for recreation and the development of private interests
and hobbies. To give some guidance on our approach to homework a policy
statement has been prepared by the teaching staff. This outlines both
the nature of the tasks set and the approximate times required for
completion. This is available to all parents.
School is most appreciative of the support given by parents and request
that Parents:
check the Homework diary I school bag to find out what has
been set.
listen to reading and talk about what has been read.
ask spellings and tables.
check written homeworks ensuring that the assignment has been
completed satisfactorily.
sign written homeworks each night. |
