2 hours minimum per night
5 nights per week
Split into 30 - 45 minute sessions with short, planned 10 minute breaks
Set yourself a topic or part of a topic to revise in each 30 minute session
   eg. In Science (Forces)

Write down the Key Points
 
Aim to understand all your work but only learn key information
 
Highlights - Prepare a fact card/sheet with bullet points
 
Memory Triggers
   Use mnemonics (key letters)
   Eg. In History BOP for 
Butt,
OConnell,
Parnell – three 19th century nationalists

  Active Learning - Practice drawing diagrams/maps

  Work Together - After revising, you could test yourself along with a friend

  Help - Ask teachers' advice

  Methods / Useful tips - Complete revision sheets provided by teachers

  In Class -  When teachers start revision in class pay particular attention and make notes. ASK where you have difficulties

  Absent? -  Attendance – it is important to be in school every day this term for work/revision unless it is unavoidable

  Class revision -  Do not stay at home to revise in the days before the exams. Class revision will be more focused at this time

  All Done? - There is no such thing as “I have nothing to do!”
