During the last week in September, Killicomaine JHS invited P7 pupils to come along and sample life in our school.
Pupils from the local Primary Schools each spent a morning at the school, visiting the various departments for lessons, meeting the staff, and getting to know their way around the school.

Monday - Bocombra P.S. and Drumgor P.S.
Pupils had a messy, but delicious practical lesson in the Home Economics department. In the music department pupils had fun trying to recognise the various instruments used in today's pop music.

Tuesday - Edenderry P.S. and Annaghmore P.S.
Pupils sat well back as they were treated to an explosive lesson in the Science department. Meanwhile, in the Technology & Design department some of the boys just couldn't get close enough.

Wednesday - Seagoe P.S. and Bleary P.S.
A quiz in Geography proved to the pupils just how difficult it can be to navigate your way round a classroom, let alone the World. In their I.T. lesson, pupils were able to view web sites created by Killicomaine pupils.

Thursday - Moyallon P.S. and Portadown Integrated P.S.
Some lucky pupils got to try the machinery out for themselves as plastic moulding was demonstrated in Technology & Design. These boys were taking no chances with their eyes, as they watched magnesium flare up in a Science lesson.

Friday - College Prep, Richmount P.S. and Birches P.S.
The Art department was popular with the pupils, and there were quite a few artists in this hard working group. Last lesson of the week - "au revoir" from pupils in the French department.
