We
went to the Trian Heritage Centre in Armagh to meet Isaac
Newton (1642 - 1727).
:: :: ::
He looked well for his age!
One
girl from our school asked Isaac Newton if his head still
hurt.
:: :: ::
The story of Isaac Newton discovering the laws of gravity
by watching apples falling from a tree is probably just a
myth. He did do his work on gravity while at a farm, but that
is about as much as can be proven.

Then
we got to play a game called Feed The Giant.
There
were giant dominoes laid out all over the floor. We had to
arrange them in a square so the total of each side added up
to 10.
We
got to throw these huge dice.
Giant
Connect 4. This was great fun.
Then
we tried out a few table puzzles.
We
did these type of puzzles in Primary School, but somehow they
seemed much easier back then.....
Although
the floor puzzles were bigger, they were just as challenging.
Before
we left we tried our hand at making "Mobius loops".
The
girls enjoyed cutting paper loops.
Even
handcuffs were possible.
The
boys in particular seemed to be expert at Mobius loops.
From
two loops a square was achieved, well done!
