Having studied the settling of 'Derry' by the London Companies (who renamed it Londonderry) in the 1600s, and also having studied the Seige of Derry in 1689, the pupils can see for themselves what a Plantation town actually looks like.

In year 9 all of our pupils travel to Londonderry, one of our most famous Plantation Towns.
We walk right around the City walls, stopping to view numerous buildings and the sites of more recent trouble in the City.
