Year 9 pupils have been learning about the Tropical Rainforests. Throughout the unit they have used the internet, videos and textbook resources to find out how the plants, animals and people have adapted to the hot wet climate associated with this ecosystem. To complete their studies pupils have the opportunity to sample some of the tropical fruits which originate in the rainforest. :: :: :: Papaya, pineapple, coconut, cape gooseberry, passionfruit, avocado, mango, watermelon…….. Jonny and Philip like busy bees. Preparing the feast for 9D2 Dale really liked the watermelon...and it kept him quiet! Mrs Murphy tells the class where each of the fruits originated from. Jake will never try avacado again! Jenny - being brave, tried everything! Philip's third slice of watermelon Lynsey, was it that good? Pupils also tasted the yummy fair trade chocolate- HEAVENLY CHOCOLATE WITH A HEART!!!
