Marble
Arch Caves, Co. Fermanagh
:: :: ::
This was the destination on Thursday 3rd June for some of 10D1 and
D2, accompanied by Mrs. Hopper and Mrs. Murphy. All Year 10 pupils
study rocks and focus on limestone as a case study of chemical weathering.
Limestone produces the most fantastic scenery most of which is found
below ground in cave systems.

The selection of pictures below will give you some insight into
our visit to the caves. Luckily there are no pictures of our visits
to McDONALDS and KFC. Hungry work on the tour of the caves!!!
The tour started with a short walk then once inside the caves it
was a short boat journey on the Claddagh River to get to the heart
of the caves were all the special features could be seen.
